In my work for the International Office, I have many opportunities to support our international students in arriving, finding their ways and feeling at home on our campus – the latter, as I know from my own experience, is particularly important for successful studying. Together with my colleagues, I develop new concepts for the continuous improvement of the integration of international students. We also try to help in case of problems, because the International Office is often the first contact point when there are difficulties – especially financial ones. Often we can offer help directly from various funding programs or refer students to the appropriate institutions. But there are always situations that demonstrate how important XENOS is when fast and unbureaucratic support is needed.
I am pleased that I can make an active contribution as a member of XENOS and through my involvement in the board and the funding committee!
